We start our 2-day excursion from Marrakech to the Zagora Desert by heading toward the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass at 2,260 meters above sea level.
Stop to visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where several world-renowned movies and series were filmed, such as Gladiator, The Jewel of the Nile, Babel, and Game of Thrones (lunch on site).
We then continue south through the Anti-Atlas Mountains, passing the Berber village of Agdez and the beautiful Draa Valley, famous for its palm groves.
Arrival in Zagora around the afternoon. We leave the 4x4 vehicle and switch to camels for a ride through the desert dunes to enjoy the sunset.
Dinner and overnight in a nomadic desert camp (traditional tent).
After breakfast, we return by 4x4 toward Ouarzazate, crossing the Atlas Mountains once again and enjoying the scenic landscapes of the Draa Valley.
Visit the Taourirt Kasbah, then continue the journey back to Marrakech, passing through Berber villages nestled in the mountains.
Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon or evening.
