(Camel Ride and One Night in the Desert)**
After breakfast, departure from Fez towards Merzouga. We begin our 2-day route from Fez to the Merzouga Desert, passing through Ifrane and the Azrou cedar forests, home to the famous Barbary monkeys. This will be a great opportunity to take photos of Moroccan nature.
Lunch will be in the Berber village of Zaida.
We continue crossing the Atlas Mountains, enjoying the landscapes of Midelt, until reaching the small town of Rich and then Erfoud, where we begin to feel the Saharan atmosphere with the Tafilalet oasis.
We continue to Merzouga. After some time to relax, we leave the vehicle and enter the desert by camel.
Overnight in Berber nomadic tents (haimas), belonging to the original desert inhabitants.
Early wake-up to enjoy the spectacular sunrise over the dunes.
Return by camel to the lodge. After breakfast, departure toward the vast Tafilalet palm grove, passing through the city of Rissani, cradle of the Alaouite dynasty and former capital of the Alaouite sultans.
We then head back to Fez, passing through the beautiful Ziz Valley, Errachidia, Midelt, and the cedar forest, where we stop to visit the famous Gouraud Cedar.
Continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains until arriving in Fez in the afternoon, the intellectual and historical capital of Morocco, divided into three parts: Fez El-Bali (the old city), the new city built during the French Protectorate, and the Jewish Quarter.
Fez has a beautiful medina with impressive gates, walls, and palaces.
