Departure to Merzouga via Ifrane, also known as the “Switzerland of Morocco”, and the Azrou cedar forest, where we will stop to enjoy watching the monkeys climbing the cedar trees.
We then continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains, followed by the Ziz Valley, its gorges, and Errachidia, before continuing to the city of Erfoud, famous for being the capital of fossils.
Arrival in Merzouga. The rest of the day will be dedicated to enjoying the peace and tranquility of the desert.
Overnight in a guesthouse near the dunes.
After breakfast, begin the great dune tour, passing through several desert villages. One of them is Khamlia village, where you will stop to enjoy Gnawa music.
Then continue to visit desert nomads living in their traditional tents (haimas), where you will discover a new sense of life.
In the afternoon, you will take camels to spend the night in the middle of the dunes under a nomadic tent.
After returning by camel and taking a shower, departure towards Rissani, the first imperial city of Morocco.
Then pass through Erfoud, a town known for everything related to fossils.
Continue through the Ziz Valley, with panoramic views of palm groves and gorges. After crossing the Tizi-n-Talghomt Pass, pass again through Ifrane (known as the Moroccan Switzerland) before arriving in Fez, the cultural capital of Morocco.
